Planning: Location

The locations we have been planning to use for our music video are as  follows; somebody's house, this indicates where the character lives and perhaps what condition they may be in, we can film lots of shots in the bathroom where our character is seen taking these pills (Drugs) which relate to the lyric ' Euphoria '. Another location we have been thinking of is the World War II bunker we used previously for our AS project, this is because it can resemble an abandoned background to which can be the same emotion as our character, feeling abandoned because of the drugs he has taken at such an early stage of his life, however we believe another location would be more suitable because we still want it to look home like not abandoned . The bunker also represents homelessness which can also be link with the use of drugs. One other location we are predicting to use is the wildlife/outside, this can also be used with the lyric "Euphoria"  because the meaning of the word correlates with the outside world, happiness and life, though filming our character walking through some woods would come across as very 'hippy' because mixing drugs with wildlife and outside could lead to that. However filming in the winter can give us that dark edge we want to portray for our character because giving the music video a green outside may lead to a different interpretation the story will want to convey powerfully.

We plan to use the key stone (a youth centre) to film some of our indoor scenes, we thought that the original idea of using the bunker as we did previously it wouldn't resemble so much of a house but may come across as extra spooky instead which is not what we wanted to get across.

Although we came across another location which can be considered as handy as this sets a strong environment and atmosphere within the video. The following picture was a picture taken last summer after it was recreated.

Again we we told that the current location wouldn't be as suitable. So we came up with our final idea which was Grafdon underwood, this is where we will use a world war two office to set an urban type
environment and atmosphere. There are multiple world war II bunkers and buildings surrounding the area but we picked this one as it had the most light and more of an outlay to which we would be able to set up our camera and get high quality shots without using some of the lights we had  provided.
