The lyrics in this seem to be quite simple and non complicated, we have more of a chance in editing and making something very high in editing techniques. We can use lip sync and cut to the beat. We were strongly thinking about Crystal Castles 'Kept' but we didnt think there was enough lyrics for us to create some kind of context with our music video. Lyrics are important in a music video because it can determine a background and story, it gives me and Sean a chance to show off some valuable skills and learn some crucial ones for the future ahead.
[Verse 1]
And I'm looking back
We were young then
In the strangest dream of me
And I'm looking back
We were dumb then
In the strangest dream
[Chorus]
Euphoria
Don't leave
Euphoria
Don't lie to me
[Verse 2]
Now it's in the past
And I'm stuck here
In the strangest dream of me
And we can't go back
To a moment
In a stranger's dream
[Chorus]
Euphoria
Don't leave
Euphoria
Don't lie to me
[Bridge]
You never got high enough [x4]
[Chorus]
Euphoria
Don't leave
Euphoria
Don't lie to me
The lyrics are extremely simple but they can give us brainstorm to what we would like to do with them, for example where it says' Now it's in the past" we can get our actor lip syncing whilst we have a cutaway to give the song some context and so the audience question our music videos intention. It's a simple song with simple lyrics, it really just determines how we play with them and what we can do with them to make our music video high quality.
We analysed the lyrics and we wanted to understand what the word "Euphoria" actually meant, so I googled the meaning and it says this "a feeling or state of intense excitement and happiness."
This gave us an idea of having someone who may take a caffeine and getting very excited.
